A birthday present

A friend of mine, who often takes the name “Griffin” online, is someone who can appreciate the value of a handmade item. And even though it isn’t much, I made them a personalized handtowel for their birthday.

I bought the handtowel from a department store, on a whim when I was in there looking for rolls of Aida cloth. The lettering is done in cross-stitch, while the border is done in half cross-stitch. It’s simple, but it was fun to make.

I bought two more handtowels, which I’m going to embroider in different ways to try experimenting with some new designs and stitch patterns.
